Why It Stands Out

“Fatal Delusion,” goes beyond just being a slasher film. It is more of a mind-boggling thriller that chronicles the horrors of having PTSD and the effects of disregarded mental conditions. The filthiness of the film is further captured by David’s raw performances which make the viewer fathom the horrors in his head. Murdered, and all the other things as delusions in the film, are equally horrifying. David is both the duel character and the context to the film. He is a predator and at the same time, a reliable beast. This reinforces the suspense and guarantees the audience are left biting their fingernails in anticipation.

The shadow graphics cinematography, means that more focus is placed on visual distorting to instill a stronger feeling of anxiety. Every frame is slowly and meticulously crafted to enhance the feel of disconnection from David’s hallucination and reality, causing the audience to doubt the scene. The horror score furthers the chills, crafting an eerie feeling that stretches long past the end of the movie.
