In 1959, a school begins the process of burying a time capsule which contains childrenâs drawings depicting their vision of the future. However, one page has nothing but a scrunched-up sequence of dense numbers. Fast forward fifty years later and Caleb uncovers it, only for his father John to initially dismiss it as purely nonsenseâuntil he starts connecting the dots.
While decoding the sequence, John realizes that with every major disaster that occurred in the last half century, there were specific dates, death tolls, and coordinates associated with them. Two more dates were left unchecked out of the possible four to be predicted. During the final stretch of journeying towards one of those dates, he irrevocably fails witnessing a plane crash and subway wreck followed by two other disasters which ultimately solidifies his hypothesis that he predicted two out three sequentially interconnected events.
